Our school band, The Kolan South State School Corps of Drums, was established in 1988. It is well known and one of only two school marching bands in the Bundaberg District. At Marsden State school they are fundraising to provide covered walkways to classrooms without them. The students must currently deal with being exposed to the nasty summer QLD sun and torrential rain when moving between classrooms and other areas. Knowing your child is possibly sitting soaking wet for most of the day from being caught out in the rain is not something any parent wishes to think...
