We are two senior Sheldon College students who want to give back to our community. We intend on transforming a standard 20ft shipping container into an emergency shelter to provide temporary living arrangments for domestic violence victims within our community. At the conclusion of construction, the shelter will be donated to a local domestic violence association. Please, help us help them.

Children don't always recognise the early stages of thirst, which can make them particularly vulnerable to becoming dehydrated especially during play time which can tiredness, headaches and lack of concentration. Coolnwynpin State School parents would like to support our students environmental club in achieving there goal to create a beautiful ANZAC Memorial Garden consisting of native and edible plants. By doing this it also teaches all our children valuable skills.

Mount Cotton State School is looking at extending a concrete area by the top oval, in order to create a basketball court area. Winning this initiative would allow for a huge leap forward in the funding to purchase the basketball hoop/extension of the concrete area. Any increase in play area as well as an extra activities for the kids to be outdoors and active has to be a plus.

The P&C at Birkdale State School works hard to ensure that water and cold drinks are available during sports carnivals, gala sports days, school camps, fund raising BBQs and other events.
