Braille Books for the Bush - ACTIONED
The Rotary Club of Redland Sunrise will provide young children who have vision impairment with braille or large print books for Christmas. These children all live in western Queensland where their families are suffering severe drought conditions. Families in these areas are not able to afford expensive reading books for their children, as the drought has caused them to rein in their expenses. We would like to lighten their burdens, provide some quality books for the children and put a smile on their faces!

I love this idea! There is nothing better to put into a child's hand this Christmas than a book - especially for those children who have impaired vision. Bravo Janet and the Rotary Club of Redland Sunrise - doing good and serving humanity in a very practical way.

This is a brilliant idea!
Christmas is a special time for families to share time and build memories. My children tell me some of their fondest memories are of the hours we spent sitting together and reading.
This initiative gives children the gift of a book for Christmas and a memory to last a lifetime. Congratulations to you all at the Rotary Club of Redland Sunrise for bringing this special joy to families.
